Welcome to the Denver Museum of Miniatures, Dolls and Toys

The Museum is located just west of City Park, approximately two miles east of downtown Denver, on Gaylord Street between 18^th and 20^th Avenues. We are located in the historic Pearce McAllister cottage, a large yellow house with a green roof.

Accessibility:

Museum:

The first floor of the Museum is fully accessible. A ramp at the side of the house allows wheel chairs and strollers entrance. The second floor is not handicap accessible. Unfortunately, the Museum does not have an elevator.

Parking: Visitors can park on Gaylord Street when visiting the Museum. We do not have a parking lot. A handicap-reserved parking spot is available right in front of the Museum.

Directions by car:

From the North:

Take I-25 south to I-70 (exit 214), then take I-70 east to York Street (exit 275C), bear left at York Street and head south. Turn right at 20th Avenue and turn left at Gaylord Street.

From the South:

Take I-25 north to Colorado Boulevard (exit 204). Go north on Colorado Boulevard for five miles. Turn left (west) at the intersection of Colorado and 17^th Avenue. (two blocks north of the intersection of Colorado Boulevard and Colfax Avenue). Stay on 17^th Avenue past City Park, and one block past the park, turn right onto Gaylord Avenue.

From the East:

Take I-70 west to Colorado Boulevard south (exit 276-B). Go south on Colorado Boulevard for two miles. Turn right (west) at the intersection of Colorado and 17^th Avenue. (two blocks north of the intersection of Colorado Boulevard and Colfax Avenue). Stay on 17^th Avenue past City Park, and one block past the park, turn right onto Gaylord Avenue.

From the West:

Take I-70 (exit 214), then take I-70 east to York Street (exit 275C), bear left at York Street and head south. Turn right at 20th Avenue and turn left at Gaylord Street.

Groups of ten or more of the same age group (see distinctions above) receive $1 off museum admission per person.
