Donations

Whatever you can afford, your donations make a big difference to the Museum.  Gifts allow us to:

  • Put on exciting and educational arts programs for children from underserved communities.
  • Host a monthly free day where members of the community can see the Museum free of charge and children can take part in activities.
  • Present interesting new exhibits.
  • Maintain our artifacts and manage our considerable collection.
  • Maintain the beautiful yard around the Museum.
  • Invite interns to learn about what it takes to run a small Museum.
  • And so much more!

Cash, Check or Credit Card Donations:

  • Send us a check: Denver Museum of Miniatures, Dolls and Toys,

1880 Gaylord Street, Denver, CO 80206.

  • Drop by with a gift of cash.
  • Call us with a credit card number: 303-322-1053

 Matching Gifts

If you are an employee or retiree of a company that has a matching gift program you can ask your employer to match your donations to the Museum.

 Planned Giving

The Museum is currently developing a planned giving program.  Please call us for more information or check back here on the website.

 Family Foundation

If you or your family have created a family foundation, the Museum welcomes an opportunity to respond to requests for grant proposals.

Memorials and Tributes

Honor the memory of a loved one by making a special Memorial Gift to the Museum in their name.  Celebrate a special occasion or accomplishment with a Tribute Gift for birthdays, anniversaries or graduations. The Museum sends an acknowledgment card to the honoree or family of the honoree.

In-kind Donations

Artifacts

The Museum gladly accepts donations of miniatures, dolls and toys.  Do you have a dollhouse that you cannot take care of any more?  Does your family have a collection of miniatures, dolls and toys of cultural or historical significance?  We will be happy to discuss the possibility of finding your treasured items a new home in our collection.

Criteria for accepting donations:

·        We do not accept duplicates of artifacts we already own.

·        We only accept artifacts that are in excellent condition*

·        We do not pay to have your items shipped to us, nor do we, in most cases, pick items up from you.

·        We only accept artifacts after discussing them with the donor first.  Do not drop items off without discussing the donation with a Museum staff member.

*At certain times exceptions are made to this rule if an artifact fills a hole in our collection or if an artifact is of particular importance.
